3. Since 1998, FRI has successfully secured $37M in capital bond program money for community improvements such as street and bridge repair as well as for parks, flood mitigation and neighborhood amenities such as the $8.5M White Rock Hills Branch Library. Opened in 2012, our library is now serving more than 1200 children and their families weekly. Advocacy efforts through the Library Friends program have resulted in the expansion of library services to 7 days a week beginning January 2, 2015. #GivingTuesday
