Well, it’s official! The Ferguson Road Initiative has kicked-off our SPRING MATCH CHALLENGE with our partner, Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake (DHWRL)!

DHWRL has laid down the gauntlet and has challenged the Far East Dallas community to match their Founder’s Circle contribution of $10,000 to FRI by July 4th! SPRING MATCH CHALLENGE letters were mailed last week to our FRI friends and neighbors explaining the challenge and donations are beginning to come in.

Our most significant gift comes from Jeff Snoyer, owner of Highland Park Cafeteria (HPC). HPC has joined FRI as a $1000 Founder’s Circle member. As we know, HPC is now a Far East Dallas institution. The community looks to HPC as a landmark for holding community meetings, visits when family and friends come into town, and they always look to HPC on special occasions such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Memorial Day events, and of course, July 4th picnics!

The Ferguson Road Initiative is indebted to Highland Park Cafeteria, Jeff Snoyer, and all the folks that have contributed to our challenge thus far! We will continue to keep you posted as we make progress!
