6. With the help of the IRS, Foundation Communities, and United Way, FRI offers VITA, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, a free tax preparation service. Since 2007 FRI has filed 5,000 tax returns and helped the hardworking families of Far East Dallas keep more than $8M in returns. This tax year, FRI is anticipating filing more than 1500 tax returns. We will also promote our Financial Education Network (FEN), financial literacy program. #GivingTuesday
