From Comment Card, 9.30.14 Town Hall Meeting–Feasibility Study & Master Plan for the WRH Recreation Center
"I think this community would benefit having an area where healthy snacks, salads, healthy soups & sandwiches were sold. An idea I had was to create a 'community kitchen'. A large kitchen where healthy meals can be made in big bulk. Kids could be a part of food prep too & learn about healthy fruits & veggies. Community members could make the food, connect with other community members, eat, take some home & leave the rest to be taken by others who may enjoy it. Perhaps a veggie garden could be tended to, to enable enjoyment of them in kitchen food check out LAFoodSwap.com for inspiration."
