Don your poncho, because rain or shine, it’s time to spring into action!

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow, Saturday, May 16, (9 a.m.-Noon) the Ferguson Road Initiative will be coordinating a huge community-wide litter clean-up, sponsored by our friends at Young Chevrolet Dallas.

Join us at the Walgreens (Lakeland/Ferguson), visit with friends (new and old), enjoy a cup of coffee, a breakfast snack (from McDonalds), a donut (from Ferguson Donuts), pick up a few trash bags, gloves, and a safety vest and join-in on the good work! You can pick up supplies and return back to your neighborhood to clean-up, or maybe you want an assignment? There's plenty of work to go around. Even if its only for an hour, we need you!

Maybe you have a school or church youth group looking for community service hours? If so, this is the place for them.

Please come to the Walgreens at Lakeland and Ferguson, across the street from the Post Office, around 9 AM, this Saturday, May 16. The event will happen rain or shine. Walgreen's is the start site.

Volunteers will be handing out trash bags and safety vests… the collected litter bag drop sites are along Ferguson Road.

Please email me after the event to give feedback. Let us know how it went so we can improve.

Bring gardening gloves, if you have them. Your help is appreciated!
ALSO: Wear a rain poncho if it is raining. Rain or shine, we are cleaning up!

See you in the morning,

Kimberly Humphries
