SUMMARY:Law Enforcement Training and Technical Assistance
DESCRIPTION:Training and technical assistance for new law enforcement officers and practitioners  \nSKILL-BASED TRAINING CONDUCTED BY THE NATIONAL CRIME PREVENTION COUNCIL AND HOSTED BY THE FERGUSON ROAD INITIATIVE AND WHITE ROCK HILLS BRANCH LIBRARY \nThe National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC)\, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice\, Office of Justice Programs\, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA)\, will provide training and technical assistance to newly hired law enforcement officers and crime prevention practitioners.  Our goal is to provide officers and practitioners with skill-based training\, tools\, and resources to assist you in executing your jobs effectively\, which\, in turn\, keeps your communities safe. The officers and practitioners for the Dallas course will receive a three-day 24-hour Basic Crime Prevention Course with topics such as: \nEmerging Crime Trends		Frauds and Scams	    Cyber Safety\nBusiness Crime Prevention	Neighborhood Watch	    CPTED\nCrime Prevention Resources	Senior Safety		    Gangs \nNCPC now has a certification for National Crime Prevention Specialist.  It is the ONLY national certification in the country in crime prevention.  This course and any previous training courses and education will go towards your points.
