The Ferguson Road Initiative is the recipient of a Department of Justice Weed & Seed grant. Operation Weed and Seed is an anti-crime, anti-violence strategy that "weeds" communities of crime through law enforcement measures and "seeds" them through partnerships with education, health and social service programs. FRI's Graduated site received Weed & Seed funding from 2000-2006. Presently, FRI is receiving Weed and Seed dollars to fight crime and restore the 2-Points community in the Buckner / Peavy neighborhoods.
